Shellsea G. v. Matthew B.

Mother's petition to sever purported father's legal rights as parent dismissed. Purported father was not active in child's life and another man, who was married to mother at time of birth, was listed on birth certificate as father, and who had paid child support and maintained active role in life of child for 6 years, was legally the child's father. Attorney's fees also assessed against mother. The Court's decision is available here.
